This is home field to the Cecil Mudhens baseball team through the summer months, and picnic and playground area with two shelters. One is available for rent.
Co-Op Park is a 3 acre park located on Richmond St. and is adjacent to the Mountain Bay State Trail. This is one of Shawano’s newest parks and was created in partnership with United Cooperative. The park has a full size basketball court, beautiful open sided shelter and playground with walking trail around it. The park also has direct access to the Mountain Bay Trail making it a great destination for those walking or biking. ADA accessible. On Street parking is available at both the North and South sides of the park.
This 18.5-acre park adjacent to he Shawano Community High School in the southern portion of the city of Shawano. It includes a playground, disc golf course, large wooded area, two softball fields and lighted baseball diamond, restrooms, picnic tables and a picnic shelter.
Eberlein Park is a 25 acre park located in the North Eastern portion of the City. At this park users have access to seasonal restrooms, pavilion, grills, picnic areas, vast amounts of open green space, and a playground. This park is directly adjacent to the Mountain Bay State Trail and provides a great resting place for those traveling along it. The park is also home to one of two Born Learning Trails in the City of Shawano. These trails provide an interactive curriculum designed for those ages 1 to 5. Eberlein is the home park for youth soccer in the city.
Franklin Park is a three acre jewel located one block off of our downtown business district. It is home to Thursdayz@Franklin and live music series every Thursday June – August. It is also home to the Shawano Farmers Market occurring on Saturdays June to October. Church services, weddings, community events and private family events all occur here at different times. The amphitheater is reservable for your private or public use. Between Thanksgiving and the New Year be sure to drive by and admire the thousands of Holiday lights that are placed on site. You will be sure to see the 26 foot Christmas tree from a few blocks away. Parking is available on site, parking lots across Washington Street and along adjacent streets.
54-acre site located along the Embarrass River includes a small walking bridge, unimproved hiking trails leading upstream. Facilities include handicapped accessible restroom, picnic tables and grills, well, shelter, play equipment, horseshoe pits, fire pit, an informal ball diamond, and snowshoeing.
A 3.6 acre park located one block northeast of downtown. This is the most popular boat landing to help you get on the majestic Wolf River. From there you can find your secret fishing hole, or head to the sandbars at Shawano Lake. This park offers a boat launch with four ramps, park shelter (available to rent), open green space, seasonal restrooms, piers and waterfront shoreline. A daily ($5) or annual permit ($30) is required to launch your boat and can be purchased on site. Vehicle and trailer parking is available at the park and across the road.
A 7.8 acre neighborhood park located in Southwest portion of the City. It offers a lighted basketball court, three fishing piers, a park pavillion that can be rented, open green space with picnic tables, free public wi-fi, a playground, seasonal restrooms and a walking/biking trail that travels through the park. Two separate parking lots are available. One is along Oak Dr. and the other is at the end of Lafayette St.
This boat landing provides access to the Wolf River. Put in on County M (Lieg Street) in the City of Shawano, about 6 blocks west of Main Street. Boat launch on left bank. Plenty of parking. No restrooms. Lieg Park is a 5.3 acre park located on the East side of Shawano along Lieg Ave. This park is the location of the Senior Citizens community gardens. It has a waterfront biking and walking trail travel through it that connects Lieg Park to Sturgeon and Kuckuk Parks.
Includes 3 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails, hiking and biking trails, a small lighted sledding hill with parking facilities, and an area for radio controlled plane use. Maple Hills has 4 different difficulty levels with over 7 miles of groomed skate and freestyle skiing and snowshoeing. In addition we have a snowshoe only trail that is 2.5 miles long.
Recreational facilities include ball diamonds (three softball, one baseball and one little league), lighted basketball and sand volleyball courts, children’s splash pad, playground areas plus shelter areas with restrooms.

Also known as Pulcifer Park, this 6-acre site located along the Oconto River is a popular put-in or take-out point for canoeing/tubing. Facilities include small shelter, picnic area, and play equipment.
This 32-acre park has a wooded area with 100 campsites on approximately 18 acres with electricity, showers, playground equipment, meeting room, camp store, fish cleaning facilities, and dump station. The rest of the park has a large picnic area, tennis and basketball courts, softball area, volleyball court, and restrooms, a 300′ sand beach and boat launch. Stand-up paddle boards, canoe, paddle boat and pontoon rentals available.
This .62 acre lot is located on the Wolf River in the North western part of the city. It has water access, free public WIFI and is a popular place for kids to get there feet wet. The park is home to the Shawano Ski Sharks, a local water ski club that put on weekly performances on Wednesdays during the summer months (June - August at 6pm). A parking lot is available adjacent to the park.
This 1.71 neighborhood park in the spring of each year can see thousands of visitors per day. The unique experience that many come to see is the annual Lake Sturgeon Spawn. If timing it right one can see hundreds of the prehistoric fish all in view simultaneously. The park offers a Gazebo with free public WIFI that can be rented, asphalt walking and biking trails that connect to other local parks, while also being adjacent to the Mountain Bay State Trail. An old rail corridor that will take one to Green Bay or Wausau...just depends which direction you begin to walk. The park also offers an ADA accessible fishing pier that is popular for those who wish to wet there line.
Commonly known as "Monkey Island", this 1.6 acre site provides a small shelter, picnic tables, and 3 grills. Located adjacent to the Shawano County Historical Society grounds, park users have access to a fishing pier and a restroom building.
This 110-acre property which encompasses Wilson Lake, includes a small beach area, fishing pier, and boat ramp. Park facilities include a large shelter, play equipment, restroom building with changing areas, and a rustic trail system (horse trails and hiking). We have 4 campsites with a picnic table and fire pit at each site. Water and electricity can be found a the shelter.
This park has access to the Wolf River and offers fishing piers and boat landing only. The 68-acre site sits along the Wolf River. A gravel trail follows along the river's edge of the almost entirely wooded site. Facilities include a large paved boat launch with parking for approx. 16 car/trailer units, launching pier, shelter with restrooms and picnic area with grills.
