Location/Department: Shawano/Olga Brener Elementary/School Based

Reports To: Branch Manager

Classification/Hours: Part-time (5 days/week):  flexible shifts available Monday-Friday, 1:30-6:00pm (4 days/week required, 5 days/week preferred).

Pay Classification: Individual Contributor/Starting pay $12.00 per hour, based on experience

The Site Lead works closely with the Branch Manager to oversee daily operations of an after-school site with the primary focus on program and service delivery, program participant safety and supervision and direction of program staff, facilities management, parent relations, and membership enrollment.

~Ensures implementation and coordination of activity plans that meet the After School standards

~Maintains accountability for program participants throughout the duration of the after school program.

~Ensures follow- through in the event of program participant absenteeism and parent accountability in daily sign-out and pick-up procedures.

~Monitors after school staff member involvement in delivery of program activities, making certain that staff members are engaging program participants and providing adequate supervision.

~Understands and assures the implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and goals while maintaining a safe, clean environment necessary for youth development.

~Utilizes Youth Development Strategy in student discipline (in keeping with the Shawano School Districts expectations for student behavior). Reports severe infractions to the Site Director, appropriate school personnel and parents.

~Manages volunteers for best utilization by the after school program.

~Assist manager with process of onboarding of new staff, conducting phone interviews, sitting in on interviews whether in person or online, and mentoring/training of newly hired staff

~Monitors all aspects involved in implementing program components and communicates needs to Branch Manager as they arise, including supply shortages, the need for equipment repairs and/or replacement, changes in space availability, concerns expressed by parents and teachers, etc.

~Collects data from after school staff according to timetable provided by Branch Manager, including weekly schedules outlining daily program activities, daily documentation, attendance,

~Promotes overall Club membership and recruits after school program participants as enrollment spots remain available.

~Handle other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary or important as assigned by Branch Manager

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in working with children.
Knowledge of youth development strategies.
Ability to motivate youth and handle behavior problems.
Ability to deal with the general public.
Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.
Knowledge of computers and computer programs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work after school program hours especially as seasons and service needs change.
