This two part event takes place on Tues., April 14 and Tues., April 21
Take a journey through Shawano's rich past in this engaging two-part program presented by the Shawano Has History Project.
The first night, Tuesday, April 14, will be a one-hour panel presentation and Q&A session, featuring Shawano County Historical Society staff and project volunteers who will share the process of preserving our history, Shawano's unique local history, historic downtown and the stories behind the plaques.
On Tuesday, April 21, participants will take part in a guided one-hour walking tour of downtown Shawano, visiting several historic buildings marked by the Shawano Has History Project plaques, and ending at Stubborn Brothers for a free drink. Learn about the people, businesses, and events that helped shape the community we know today. Whether you're a longtime resident, new to the area, or just love local history, this class offers a meaningful and memorable way to connect with Shawano's past. Registration fee will be donated to the Shawano Has History Project. -

Bobby Solberg was born into a family of country and bluegrass musicians and started singing with his father's band at a very young age. Bobby continued to perform with His father's band in northeast Wisconsin and then moved to Nashville, Tennessee.
After moving to Nashville, Solberg began performing at local clubs and doing songwriter rounds with some of Nashville's hit songwriters, including Anthony Smith and Chris Wallin (Smith has written singles for Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts and George Strait)
Bobby continued to develop his singing, songwriting and guitar playing style at some of Nashville's legendary music venues such as The Stage on Broadway, Robert's Western World, Legend's Corner, The Ernest Tubb Record Shop and World Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. -

Annual Trail Fun Run/Walk at Navarino Nature Center

Get back to nature and run down the trails of Navarino! New in 2026 are 2 new boardwalks that are 8ft wide spanning across the both bogs at Navarino. Run or walk the trail past some mud, over tree roots, across boardwalks over marshes and bogs, through forests and prairies, and raise funds for environmental education at the same time. Welcome to the Navarino Trail Run / Walk! This event helps to support a wonderful non-profit that provides educational programs to 3,000 students and over 15,000 adults annually. You're also supporting improvements to the trails that you enjoy walking or running!
Staff and volunteers will time participants, in addition to your self timing. The nature center will have a timing display available. All participants will receive a participant medal.
