Time:
8 pm
Artist’s Biography
John Waite
John will be performing his catalogue of hits from his 40 year career as a solo artist, with The Baby’s and Bad English.
John Waite’s catalogue of hits features some of the most loved songs of the 80s and 90s – the #1 Worldwide hit ‘Missing You’, The Baby’s ‘Isn’t It Time’ and Bad English ‘When I See You Smile’ rank amongst some of his biggest international hits and are still heard on radio today. Others include ‘Tears’, ‘Change’ and ‘These Times Are Hard For Lovers’. ‘Every Step Of The Way’ and ‘If Anybody Had A Heart’ appeared on the soundtrack to the 1986 Demi Moore film About Last Night. ‘Deal for Life’, penned by Martin Page and Bernie Taupin, was featured in the Days Of Thunder soundtrack.
As a solo artist and as the lead singer of The Baby’s and Bad English, John Waite was a fixture of album-oriented rock radio stations during the ’70s and ’80s. John Waite had a talent for power ballads and driving arena rock, occasionally touching on new wave-styled power pop as well.
John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band
The legendary Rhode Island multi-platinum rock’n’roll group John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band began their career in 1973 and
achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with the “Eddie & The Cruisers – Motion Picture Soundtrack”. The hit single “ON THE DARK SIDE” held
the “#1” position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for five consecutive weeks. The album sold over 3 million copies and was
certified triple Platinum by the RIAA.
The title track from the group’s 1985 follow-up album “TOUGH ALL OVER” became their second “#1” single on the Billboard Rock charts and the
song “C-I-T-Y” reached the Billboard Top 20. John Cafferty’s solo track “HEARTS ON FIRE” was featured in Sylvester Stallone’s film “ROCKY IV”
and he received his second double Platinum soundtrack award. Over the years John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures.
Today John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band continue to tour and bring their exciting live shows to fans around the world. In 2012 they were
inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall Of Fame. 2022 marked the release of John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band’s GREATEST HITS on
Iconoclassic Records. A comprehensive collection of all “original recordings” from their hit albums and movie soundtracks. In celebration of
their 50 years together John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band will be releasing a long awaited album of brand new songs in the spring of 2024.
The pre-released single “DAY IN THE SUN” has received 5 star reviews and is climbing the national classic rock radio and streaming charts. It is
featured in the new 2024 Peter Farrelly film “Ricky Stanicky” starring Zac Efron and John Cena.
