Headstone: Civil War Stories

Explore the lives of our civil war veterans and discover their contributions to Shawano after the war. After the tours, join us as we commemorate Nathan Lake, the oldest living Civil War veteran in Shawano County! Prepackaged historical snacks will be available at the Woodlawn Park Chapel after the event with a special Civil War exhibit featuring collections form the Shawano County Historical Society. This event is free to the public. Meet us at the Woodlawn Park Chapel at 5:30 p.m. Come meet our Civil War Heroes: Julius Lucius Murray, Stephen Gardner, John Schweers, Nathan Lake, Theodore Dodge and Robert Jackson. Presented by: The Shawano County Historical Society and The Shawano Parks and Recreation Department
